about

Camp Coderpillar was created by 19-year-old Izzie Heath, an experienced coding instructor and former summer camp leader. Based in Coles Crossing, the camp is designed for kids ages 7–12 to explore coding and other STEM activities in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment.

3D game developers: roblox studio

august 4 - august 7

Campers will design and build their own 3D games using Roblox Studio, a free kid-friendly platform for creating immersive worlds. They’ll explore game design, level building, and simple coding as they create obstacle courses, adventure maps, their own “obby,” and more.

Between game development sessions, campers will enjoy hands-on STEM activities, such as:

  • Creating “elephant’s toothpaste” with a chemical reaction
  • Making ice cream in a bag
  • Engineering stable 3D structures with marshmallows
  • Making fluffy slime!

By the end of the week, each camper will have created and published their own games to Roblox—ready to play and share with family and friends!

Note: I understand some families have concerns about Roblox and online safety. This camp uses Roblox Studio, which is a separate program from the Roblox gaming app. Campers will not have access to online gameplay or chat features—just the game creation program in a fully supervised, offline environment.
